WELCOME TO THE CHIDEOCK HISTORY WEBSITE.
Many thanks to the Chideock Society Archive which has provided much of the information on this website.
The aim is to show some of the history of Chideock, North Chideock and Seatown and to preserve some of the archive material which has been collected by the Chideock Society over the years.
There is a lot of fascinating information about the Parish of Chideock in the book "A Wander Through Chideock" which is available at the Chideock Stores at Foss Orchard or contact Lyn Crisp on 01297 489098 or email: lyncrisp@chideockandseatown.co.uk
Clicking on 'EXTERNAL LINKS' will take you to an amazing website prepared by Neil Mattingly of the Charmouth Local History Society with material provided by Antony Broad (historian) who has lived in Seatown for many years and who has contributed to both this website and the community website. We are very grateful that they are willing to share this content to our 'history website'. They have collated some wonderful photographs, maps and postcards for you to enjoy.
